Reminiscing

I was talking to Bailey and we started reminiscing about these donuts that I used to eat as a kid (she used to eat them too!) ... we would go to the gas station and pick up these or my dad would bring them home from work:

They are so yummy!

It's not like these donuts are good for you (what donuts are??) but they remind me so much of being a little kid that I have been craving them for a few months now. You can't find these in very many places anymore.. I think that they are only available in Idaho, Utah, and California. Wish they sold them here... it would be nice to have with Baliey and Carl. What reminds you of your childhood?

Baby gear!!

Bailey got here!!! I love when she is here because she is such a joy to be around. She is so much like me and we just "get" each other. She also is such a great helper (she is willing to get stuff that I can't reach and to help with whatever I might be doing). Anyway... I love my sister and it is so nice that she gets to be here for a bit before Miles gets here.

Yesterday we decided to do one of the crafts that I have wanted to do for awhile... a baby wipes case! It was really easy (once you got the hang of it) and I think they turned out GREAT! We still have to cover one more big case today (we ran out of glue yesterday so we had to quit early) but here are the pics!

Here is the one I made first (I made one while Bailey waited so I would actually know what we were doing)

Here is the second one I made

Here is the one Bailey made

And here is what the Jezzie did while we crafted.... isn't she so funny?!

Here is the website I used as my guide (although I used a glue gun not mod podge). They were really easy to make and I was the only one who walked away with a tiny glue gun burn.

Update- already in the 9th month

We are now in the home stretch!

I know it has been awhile since I posted, but not much has been going on... I am still pregnant, LOL.

I have had 2 more doctor appointments and everything looks great. Miles is measuring perfect, his heart sounds great, I have gained 16 lbs during my whole pregnancy (these last 2 weeks have been very strange in weight gains) but my midwife is not concerned at all, my cervix is softening (which really means nothing except I am getting closer to delivering, but at 36 weeks I knew that already...lol), and I look like I swallowed a watermelon whole.

Carl finishes his rotation in pediatric medicine and starts in neurology on Monday. He has 4 more weeks of rotation and then gets to take off 6 weeks to stay home with Miles and me! It will be so nice to have him home for the first few weeks.

My dad, Bailey, and maybe mom are coming this weekend to visit and drop off Bailey. She is going to stay until Miles is born and then my dad will come back to see him and pick Bailey up.  I am so excited to see family for the weekend. It will be great to see everyone for a day or two before they leave and it is going to be so nice to have Bailey here to help distract from all the waiting. I already have lots of projects lined up for Bailey and I to do together for the next few weeks.

That is really all that is going on in the lives of Macey and Carl....just appointments and school and waiting.

Pregnancy Pictures

Carl's sister took pictures of us the weekend of our baby shower and did an AMAZING job! Here are a few of the pics she took

I am in love with them... now to decide what to frame and put in our house... choices, choices... I wish I could frame them all!

Now for Miles to get here so his wonderful Aunt Lin can take some pictures of him too!!!

34 week visit

Yesterday I had my 34 week appointment and wanted to update everyone on how we're doing.

- Miles is still measuring 2 weeks bigger than he should. My fundal height (if you don't know what that is, click here and read about it) is 36 which is a little bigger than it should be, but they say it is ok if it is within 2 weeks of how many weeks you are pregnant. That means that we are just barely measuring where we should.

- I am still gaining weight like I should... a pound a week. I am up to 10 lbs gained so far, so if I continue like this I will have gained about 16 lbs in all (which is perfect for my body and the baby).

- Miles' little heart beat is going strong.

- I have now graduated to appointments EVERY week. This is one of the big signs that he will be here so soon!

- Miles is moving and I think a little squished in there because sometimes I feel him stretch out and, although it hurts a bit, I still feel bad for my big baby in my little body.

- He no longer likes to move for Carl- or anyone for that matter. He now gets super shy whenever anyone touches my belly. If you want to feel him move, you have to be super patient and wait him out. He eventually forgets your hand is there and starts to move again... but you have to just wait patiently without moving your hand to feel the crazy things he does.

-Miles gets the hiccups at least every other day. It is so funny to feel him lightly bouncing with every hiccup. I don't think he likes them very much because every time he has them for more than a few minutes, he stretches out and moves around.

- Only 6 more weeks to go!
